The Citadel of Qaitbay is a 15th-century coastal fortress in Alexandria, Egypt, built between 1477 and 1479 by Mamluk Sultan al-Ashraf Qaitbay on the site of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, destroyed by earthquakes. Its foundations reportedly incorporate stone and granite blocks salvaged from the lighthouse's ruins.

Hello. I booked two excursions: Cairo (Grand Museum + Pyramids + Sphinx) and Luxor + Valley of the Kings. The transfer was on time. All the sights matched the stated program. Of course I'd have liked more time both at the Grand Museum (you simply can't see it all in 2 hours) and at the Valley of the Kings, but that's just a personal wish. The excursions were packed. Time flew by. I especially want to highlight our guide Nina — a knowledgeable and upbeat specialist.
We took the Cairo excursion, 1. it's half the price of what the tour operator tries to push on you at an inflated price, 2. the excursion itself went wonderfully, picked us up on time, a Russian-speaking guide showed and explained everything, brought us back to the hotel. A museum tour, a boat ride on the Nile, lunch and a visit to the great pyramids. The family is happy, I'll be booking more excursions with these professionals. Thank you so much.
