The Cairo Standard excursion (with the old museum) exceeded my expectations! I recommend it wholeheartedly! First off, the bus turned out to be surprisingly comfortable for sleeping. I took this excursion the day after my flight, and to my surprise I slept the whole way there and most of the way back. I usually can't really sleep on buses at all, but here... the seats were comfortable and not too cramped, so I could actually sleep properly with the seat reclined. Our guide Sami, an Egyptologist, spoke very clean Russian, told and showed us so much interesting material, charismatic and pleasant, with deep knowledge of Egyptian history. I'd already been to Cairo and the Cairo Museum before, but I still found new information interesting to hear. I came back from the trip not tired, as you might expect, but full and even a little rested!
We went to Cairo, loved it. Our Russian-speaking guide told us all about old Cairo and took us into a Coptic church. We visited the museum, saw the mummies, and he told us the story behind every statue. Lunch was wonderful and tasty. We saw the Pyramids and the Sphinx. The trip wasn't tiring at all. The bus was comfortable, you can recline the seats and sleep the whole way. A great company, great guides, I recommend it 100%. Thank you!
