The Unfinished Obelisk lies in the ancient granite quarries of Aswan, still partly attached to the bedrock it was carved from. Believed commissioned during the reign of Hatshepsut, it would have stood roughly 42 meters tall and weighed over 1,000 tonnes, making it the largest obelisk ever attempted in ancient Egypt, before cracks in the stone forced its abandonment.
The Nubian Museum in Aswan opened in 1997 as part of UNESCO's campaign to document and preserve Nubian heritage threatened by the Aswan High Dam's floodwaters. Designed by Egyptian architect Mahmoud El-Hakim in a style echoing traditional Nubian architecture, it won the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2001 and houses artifacts spanning Nubian history from prehistory to the present.

A beautifully organized trip, everything thought through, excellent impressions!!
Thank you so much for the quad bike excursion, we booked it in the evening from the hotel, in the morning a car came and picked up my husband and son, my husband, son and their escort rode together as a trio, they loved it, both came back thrilled, it ended up being private just for them. From now on we'll only work with you. We also booked a private transfer (minivan) from the airport and back, everything ran like clockwork, a clean car, a good driver, the AC really came in handy, from the airport to the Sahl Hasheesh hotel in Serenity it turned into a little sightseeing trip in itself since it was our first time in Hurghada, and we were very happy and fell in love with the place!!!
